Can I perform a RON when traveling outside my state?

I have become a remote online Notary Public for Texas. If I travel outside of Texas, can I notarize documents online while physically located in another state?M. T., Texas

No, the law requires that an online Notary must be physically in the state of Texas in order to perform remote online notarizations.

Hotline answers are based on the laws in the state where the question originated and may not reflect the laws of other states. If in doubt, always refer to your own state statutes. – The Editors
