I have a six-page document, but only page 5 needs to be notarized. The sixth page is for witness signatures only that do not require notarization. Is it permitted to notarize the document without the witnesses being present? — N.K., Texas
The witnesses and the signer should all be present at the time of the notarization. The witnesses are present to observe the signer place their signature on the document.
