NotaryCam Hiring Notaries And Signing Agents To Perform RONs

Ron-April-2-resized.jpg

NotaryCam is looking to hire Notaries across every remote online notarization (RON) state to meet growing monthly demand for hundreds of thousands of RON transactions. Currently, demand is highest for Notaries in Virginia, Florida, Michigan, Kentucky, Tennessee, Utah, and Montana, but opportunities are open to Notaries located in all states where RON is permanently authorized. NotaryCam prefers Notaries with experience in the legal or real estate industries.

All Notaries applying with NotaryCam need to pass the NNA background check. Applicants for any RON-approved state other than Virginia, Montana and Utah must be Notary Signing Agents with the following qualifications:

  • Pass a NNA background check;
  • Be a NNA Certified Signing Agent; and
  • Possess a digital certificate, which is available through the NNA.

NotaryCam is offering to guide Notaries through the commissioning process to perform RONs, but given COVID-19, there may be some delays in processing those applications so it is a plus if Notaries are already qualified. All Notaries will be thoroughly trained to use NotaryCam software and meet the high standards signers and enterprise clients have come to expect from NotaryCam. To apply, visit https://www.notarycam.com/notarycam-application/.

Hi Pamela. The NNA background check is good for 1 year. We reached out to NotaryCam and they said they do ask Notaries they work with to have an E&O policy.

I am glad the National Notary Association (NNA) is in the corner of the notaries in this time of need. I am a notary I have yet to do a signing, but I am in school and learning from a great Professor of Notarial science at Prince George's Community College. I am a member of NNA and hope to do a signing soon; NNA thank you so much for all your insight.

Hello Marianne. Different states have different laws and guidelines regarding RON. Notaries must always comply with state law regarding RON requirements. If you can tell us what state you are commissioned in, we can provide you with more specific information, but you can also find information on various state guidelines here: https://www.nationalnotary.org/notary-bulletin/blog/2020/03/states-emergency-action-remote-notarization and here: https://www.nationalnotary.org/notary-bulletin/blog/2020/03/answers-urgent-questions-notaries-ron

I am a mobile NSA (Notary Signing Agent) in Southern California. With interest rates so low, I have been busier than ever with residential refinancing, purchases (both residential and commercial), reverse mortgages, etc. I have (had to) been very flexible and innovative during these times. I would like to become an RON, but California currently doesn’t allow it. Does anyone know if the CASOS is considering authorizing this new way of notarizing?

Hi hope for safety to all. I am notary in Or, and contracted to an all state mobile escrow signing agency. Have 30 years as notary and mortgage broker. Wondering if NNA will be having new guidelines re wearing masks and gloves. Have encountered some escrow clients are demanding these. Thanks for all your great answers .

Hello. New York has issued temporary emergency orders for remote ink-signed notarization (RIN) of paper documents, but has not enacted permanent RON statutes. Because of this, we would recommend you contact a RON provider first to ask if New York's Notary laws and emergency orders meet the requirements of any notarization assignments the provider offers.
