May I Notarize My Husband’s Signature When He Buys A Car?

No. Effective October 26, 2017, Pennsylvania Notaries may not notarize the signature of their spouse on any document in which the Notary or spouse has a direct or pecuniary interest (see 57 Pa.C.S.A. 304).

Walter, while some states might permit it, or not expressly forbid it, it is probably safe not to do any family member no matter your state, that way there is no express, implied, or potential conflict that would could cause problems with the document. I', in Florida, and I don't think Florida expressly forbids it, but I would never notarize for my sister or brother, or even nephews just to avoid the slim chance of a perceived conflict.
