If the document does not have Notary certificate wording to fill out, should we use the acknowledgment for individual form?L.N., Florida

If there is no Notary wording provided on a document, you may attach an acknowledgment or jurat, whichever one the client chooses. If the client is unsure, they may contact the issuing agency or seek legal assistance.

Hotline answers are based on the laws in the state where the question originated and may not reflect the laws of other states. If in doubt, always refer to your own state statutes. – The Editors
