New changes are coming to the Facebook News Feed that will affect your Notary business pages. In the coming months, you’ll start to see less from businesses and brands in their newsfeed and more from family and friends.
“Because space in News Feed is limited, showing more posts from friends and family means we’ll show less public content, including videos and other posts from publishers or businesses,” stated Adam Mosseri, Head of Newsfeed for Facebook.
There are a few things you can do to keep your followers active on your business page:
“See First” Preference
Create a status update, and ask your followers to select the “See First” option on your page. This means your posts will appear first at the top of their feed. To find this preference, hover over the following tab near the cover photo. There you’ll see 3 options for your news feed, with "See First" as the top option. Also, advise your followers to turn on the notifications for your page so they’re alerted about events or videos.
Facebook users can choose up to 30 people or business pages to see first.
Generate Conversation
Talk to your customers on your page. Ask questions. Go live from your Facebook business page after an interesting signing. Page posts that are active with discussions and reactions between people will show up higher in your customer’s news feed.
Keep Your Page Updated
Your "about" section should always reflect up-to-date information. That includes your phone number, email, website and availability. Make sure to also include what services you offer.
To see how this feature works, visit your favorite business and brand pages, such as the NNA’s, and update the “See First” following preference.
