The details you provide in your profile help customers learn more about you, including your available business offerings, service area, any special skills you have, such as language fluency, and much more.

Who is eligible for a FindaNotary.com listing?

Because FindaNotary.com will help customers find mobile Notaries who can visit their homes or other convenient public locations, we want to ensure signers know that any Notary they contact through the site is trustworthy. That’s why listings will be available to Notaries who have been background screened through the NNA.

Why do I need an NNA background screening?

This screening ensures you are qualified and trusted to enter people’s homes and safeguard their private information. The reason Notaries who pass this screening earn such a high level of trust is that it includes data from national, state, and countysources, including:

SigningAgent.com serves Notary Signing Agents who work with lenders, title companies, and signing services specializing in loan document signings. FindaNotary.com will be a resource to help individuals find Notaries for personal, general Notary work on documents such as healthcare, legal, or small business documents that require notarization.

If you are a Signing Agent also offering general mobile Notary services, FindaNotary.com provides an excellent way for customers outside the mortgage industry to find your business. And if you’ve been background screened for your NSA work, you're already qualified for a listing on FindaNotary.com.

Is there a fee to sign up for FindaNotary.com?

The annual subscription fee is $99. That’s just $8.25 a month to have your profile discoverable online 24/7 for a year on the most visible and active Notary directory in the country.

Think you should provide a bit more info about how this site will function as $99/year is pricey when most GNW customers usually have only 1 or 2 documents requiring notarization. If it works like your Signing Agent site (which is completely randomized and favors the newest notary)....not good, NNA.

Hello. Listings will be available to Notaries who have been background screened through the NNA. To obtain a background screening, go to NationalNotary.org/Signing-Agent, click “Become a Signing Agent,” choose the NSA Background Screening Only package then add the FindaNotary subscription.

Will you be investing in SEO optimization for FindaNotary.com (I hope so for that annual fee)? If so, this could be a great tool...in fact, I've wondered why this wasn't available through NNA.

How does NNA intend to 'sort'.? Alphabetically by zip code? All notaries in a zip randomized? Nearest notary first? All notaries within a given mileage radius? Still think it's too pricey for many areas.

Hello. The directory will include multiple filters that a customer may use to help refine their search, including distance from the customer, languages spoken by the Notary, and other factors. If there are two Notaries that fall within the same distance during a search, the directory will sort them by availability.

Hello. After the 6 month trial period is over, the standard price will be $99 for 1 year if you choose to renew. Renewal is not automatic.

At a time when interest rates are steadily increasing and small business owners, like myself, are facing high inflation on everything, I would seriously suggest reconsidering the $99 sign up fee to join FindaNotary.com. Some state notary fees haven't been increased in decades.

How will the NNA get customers to use the findanotary.com? When they can just google, notary near me. How is this any different?

The directory will give customers seeking Notary services to ability to filter their search to find the exact Notary they need when they need it. For example, customers will be able to search Notaries in the directory by their proximity to the customer, languages spoken by the Notary and other factors. Also, Notaries listed in the directory will be background checked, giving the public additional reassurance when they meet with a Notary for services.

Your annual FindaNotary price is too high at $99. That said, if we sign up now and the site isn't live, will our 6 month price start once the site goes live, or only when we sign up? For example: Jack Smith signs up with Find a Notary July 11, 2023, but the site isn't live until August 15, 2023, when does the 6 month term at $30 introductory price start? If the site isn't live yet, the term that the Notary should be charged is once it goes live, not their date of signing up. Clarification is needed. Also, if the Notary is a current NNA member, will their current information, profile and/or credentials there populate on the FindaNotary site or have to be re-uploaded to this new site? If the NNA is running this new site, it should be automatically updated there IMO. Also, what, if any additional services and search options are there on FindaNotary vs. our SigningAgent.com? What makes it better, unique, and/or different? I'm sure many members and Notaries want to know.

I agree with the others. $99 is very pricey. Notary fees have not been increased by the state in years. Our cost to operate our business keep going up. Much of what this site offers is the same as other sites. It kind of feels like your mining for more background screening business.

The 6-month subscription automatically expires at the end of the period, so there is no need to cancel. After the subscription ends, subscribers have the option to renew their listing at the regular annual rate.

Hello. The Notary background screening results in states such as California are only available to state officials for review. States do not provide background reports on Notaries to businesses or private individuals.

Hello, I am thrilled about this service. I have been trying to promote my mobile notary service for a while now and haven't had much business. People are in need of mobile notary services for many things aside from loan transactions and they don't know where to find it. Hopefully this will help. My question is will our service be promoted as a mobile service? Many of us do not have a place to receive customers in our homes. I see people stating that they can only charge $2-2.50 per notarization. That is only if the person is coming to you, but if you travel to them, you add a trip fee to that.

I'm an NSA commussioned in two state. Will I be able to modify my profile to add both states in the listing. NSA is not a user friendly database for notaries. Nor is NNA for that matter. Requiring us to have two accounts with dual membership is just silly

Each commission necessitates a separate profile, resulting in the generation of individual NSA profiles. For additional guidance on configuring this setup, please contact our customer service department at 800-876-6827. Representatives are available Monday through Friday from 6:00 am PST to 5:00 pm PST, with limited hours on most weekday holidays.

Signingagent.com is already a directory set up for background checked notaries through the NNA. This comes with the background screening and membership. Why are you not promoting that site instead of making a competitive site and asking for more money from notaries? You know the current state of the market and must know notaries are struggling. This borders on unethical. I am truly disappointed in the NNA.

Since this service is not live and cannot produce results, the intro rate should be a free 6 month trial and $30 annually for those with a NNA membership, NNA background screen, NNA trained or NNA NSA trained or some combination thereof. Offering a free trial could prove to be a promotional tool for the NNA when it receives the positive feedback that you hope to receive. If NNA charges for this and it ends up being non-beneficial for notaries, especially for notaries that have support you for years by purchasing your membership, products, services and training, that would make one want to seek the same from another company altogether. Many of us have been burned by other companies on products like this and it does not feel great being had. I only hope that the NNA reconsiders and return to your loyal customers some of what we have helped you build by allowing us to test this service without risk.

Will the new site have better filters and will it be easier to use than the signingagent.com directory? I still have problems locating a notary in specific areas because of the setup. Is there a sale price at this time (Nov 23)?

I am a NSA who was certified through a different company. How do I sign up on signingagents.com and what is the fee? Also, what does the membership include. It seems like so paid for a membership but everything is still an additional charge. Why not make the fees up front in a bundle package instead of nickle and dimming agents?
