Indiana Launches Notary Portal

Indiana’s 80,000 Notaries now have a faster and more convenient way to update their information and renew their commissions. Secretary of State Todd Rokita’s Business Services Division launched a new online Notary portal it says is aimed at reducing the cost of government and increasing the speed of customer service. With the launch of the portal, Notary commissions and revisions will occur exclusively online.

“Notaries public make up the largest single group of public officials in Indiana,” said Rokita. “My office has used innovation and technology to develop an online home for Notaries to conduct their transactions with the state.”

The online Notary service will allow a current Notary to update contact information and will accept new Notary applications and renewals. The Business Services Division will be able to expedite the Notary commission process with the online system.
