The NNA's 2011 'State Of The Notary Public Office'Report Now Available For Download

The National Notary Association’s much anticipated State of the Notary Public Office 2011 report is now available for download. For the past 33 years the report has provided an annual snapshot of the growing importance of Notaries; the emerging needs of business, government and the public; and the ever-changing landscape of opportunities tied directly to current economic conditions and trends, particularly in the real estate, mortgage and banking industries.

This year’s edition comes at a critical time for Notaries as recent events — including legislative developments, technological developments and a shifting liability environment — have placed the act of notarization under greater scrutiny than ever before.

The report, which is available at no charge to members, non-members, employers and the general public, specifically examines the challenges posed by efforts to legalize online notarizations, the impact of recent court cases on liability for improper notarizations, and the growing opportunities for Notaries to serve the public.

Members may download the report by clicking here. Non-members may download it by clicking here.
