Changes: - Accommodates Notaries displaced or suffering losses due to Hurricane Katrina by allowing Notaries to continue to operate, with the permission of the state, even though they may have been prevented by Katrina from filing their required annual report or from maintaining their required bond or insurance.
Analysis:This is one of a number of bills enacted in the wake of 2005’s Hurricane Katrina to help Notaries displaces or suffering losses due to Hurricane Katrina.
