AnalysisStatute in Nevada (NRS 19.031(1) requires a county clerk to charge $15 for filing and recording every Notary bond. In 2007, the Nevada Legislature passed NRS 19.013(2) to allow county clerks to charge an additional fee not to exceed $5 for the filing of every Notary Public bond. This statute was set to “sunset” on July 1, 2013. AB 192 removes the sunset date, allowing the additional surcharge to remain in effect indefinitely.
