AnalysisSenate Bill 884 enacts the Connecticut Uniform Power of Attorney Act and provides that forms that are substantially in the form of the statutory short form or long form may be used, and adds provisions concerning intellectual property interests and access to digital devices, digital assets, user accounts and electronically stored information.
Most of the bill takes effect October 1, 2017, but the changes to Sections 1-351 and 1-352 take effect July 1, 2017.
