When does my order ship?

We normally fill your order within 1 business day of receiving it, except for custom items such as business cards and items that require documentation to manufacture, such as Notary seals and bonds. These are shipped within 2-3 business days from the date we receive the necessary documents for your state. Insurance policies are emailed once we receive the necessary documents.

  • Ground: We ship UPS Mail Innovations or first-class mail. Your order will typically arrive within 7-10 working days. Custom items will be shipped separately, as soon as they are available.
  • 2-Day/Next-Day Air: Orders received by 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time (Monday - Friday) will be shipped the same day, except for Custom items. Custom items will be shipped separately, as soon as they are available.
  • P.O. Boxes: Orders cannot be shipped via UPS or Fed Ex to P.O. Boxes. We will ship via first-class mail if P.O. Box is provided.
  • Saturday Delivery: Not available for orders. Please contact Customer Service at 1-800-876-6827.

Custom Orders
When ordering custom items, be sure to accurately enter all custom information on the Order Form. We cannot produce these items unless this information is provided. Please double-check to make sure all information is correct, as we cannot be responsible for your errors.

Custom items require approximately 3 days to produce (except business cards, which take 2-4 weeks to produce). They will be shipped separately, as soon as they are available.

Custom items include: Notary seal stamps (see below), library embossers, stationery embossers, custom stamps, mini address stamps, and business cards.

Notary Seal Stamps and Embossers
These items are custom-made to your state's specifications and cannot be manufactured until the NNA receives all required documents. Review the required documents for your state and further instructions. Once we have received the documentation, please allow 2 business days for manufacturing and shipping

Notary seal stamps and embossers are shipped separately from the rest of the supplies in your order, as soon as they are available.

Complete Notary Packages
Items in the Complete Notary Package are sent separately: (1) Supplies, (2) Seal, (3) Bond (see below). All items are shipped as requested when available.

Notary Bonds
Notary bond filing procedures vary by state. Please review the required documentation for your state. Once we have received the documentation, please allow 2-3 business days for shipping. 

Bonds for Alaska, Arkansas, Arizona, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan (except Sanilac County), Missouri, Montana, Nevada (except Carson City & White Pine Counties), New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming are emailed by default as soon as the bond is ready.

Bonds for Louisiana, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Tennessee (except Blount County) are shipped first-class mail but may be emailed on request.

For any other state (and the county exceptions noted), state regulations require us to ship physical paperwork. Please call us to order expedited shipping for your notary bond.

Should you prefer to request expedited shipping for the bond only, the following surcharge will apply: 2-Day = Additional $22.95 or Next-Day = Additional $33.95. This charge is in addition to any expedited shipping costs you may have paid to expedite the supplies in your order.

Errors & omissions policies require commission verification before they can be issued. Please review the required documentation for your state.​ The policy is emailed once ready.

Can I request rush shipping?

In most locations, you can request rush shipping. However, please be advised that expedited orders are processed the same day only if received by noon PST, Monday through Friday. Orders are shipped Monday through Friday only and not on legal holidays.

Where do you charge tax?

Applicable state and local sales tax will be added for deliveries to AL, AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, HI, IA, IL, IN, KY, LA, MD, MI, MN, NC, NE, NJ, NM, NV, OK, PA, TX, UT, WA, WI. Sales tax are added to online orders. If ordering by mail or fax, be sure to include sales tax based on the shipping address.

Does placing an order make me a Notary?

Placing an order on NationalNotary.org does not make you a Notary. The official state or county commissioning agency, usually the Secretary of State or County Clerk, issues Notary Public commissions. While our packages provide all of the required Notary supplies and bonding for each state as well as application processing in Florida, Texas, Missouri, and Pennsylvania, only an official state agency can make you a Notary.

To become a Notary, you will need to complete all requirements for your state.

How should I order if I am currently dual commissioned or becoming commissioned in more than one state?

Our current systems require that each unique record of a commission state must be on a separate account. This means that if you are ordering products or services for a commission in a different state, you must use a different email address and maintain that information under a different account number.
