Data Subject Access Request (CPRA/DSAR) Page

The National Notary Association (NNA) respects your privacy rights under applicable U.S. state privacy laws. Depending on your state of residence, you may be entitled to exercise certain rights regarding how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information.

If you reside in a state with a comprehensive privacy law (e.g., California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, etc.), you may have the right to:

  • Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
  • Access a copy of your personal information collected over the past 12 months (you may make this request up to twice per year).
  • Correct inaccurate or outdated personal information we maintain about you.
  • Delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Opt-Out of the sale or sharing of your personal data, including for targeted advertising purposes (if applicable under your state law).
    Note: If you are a registered Signing Agent who previously opted in, you may use this form to opt out.
  • Limit the Use and Disclosure of your Sensitive Personal Information, where applicable.
  • Appeal a denial of any privacy rights request, in accordance with your state’s regulations.

Submitting a Request

To submit a request, you must:

  • Be a resident of a U.S. state with an active consumer privacy law.
  • Provide your full name, email address, and residential address (used to verify jurisdiction and identity).
  • Verify your identity by responding to a confirmation email stating: “I approve my request.”

If you are submitting a request on behalf of another individual, you must include appropriate legal authorization (e.g., signed consent or power of attorney documentation).
