The NNA will provide everything you need to complete your Illinois Notary commission renewal, including your state-required bond, official seal stamp and supplies. Note that Illinois has different requirements for Non-Residents.

Requirements to Become
an Illinois Notary

  • 18 years of age
  • U.S. citizen or alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence
  • State resident for minimum 30 days or resident of qualifying border state
    while employed in Illinois for minimum 30 days
  • Must read, write and understand English
  • No lifetime felony conviction
  • Not had a Notary commission revoked or suspended in past 10 years
