What the NNA Background Screening Covers
The screening looks back 10 years across federal, state, and county records. It includes:

What if I already did my background check for my Notary commission?
You still need to complete the NNA Background Screening to be considered a Notary Signing Agent. The background check for your state Notary Public commission is separate from the Signing Agent background screening. Learn more about Notary background checks.
Does passing the background screening make me NNA Certified?
The background screening alone does not make you NNA Certified. To become NNA Certified, purchase the NNA Certification Standard package, which includes the training, exam, and background screening for certification.
