Your North Dakota Notary Surety Bond

North Dakota law requires all Notaries to purchase and maintain a $7,500 Notary surety bond for the duration of their 4-year commission. The cost of a North Dakota Notary bond is $50, and protects the general public of North Dakota against any financial loss due to improper conduct by a North Dakota Notary. The bond is NOT insurance protection for North Dakota Notaries. 


Do I need anything besides my bond?
