What to know when renewing your Colorado Notary Commission

  • Renew the same way you applied. Renewing your commission follows the same process as becoming a new Notary in Colorado.
  • You’ll need to complete training and an exam. All of our Colorado Notary Renewal Packages include your state-required training. After completing the training, you’ll need to pass the state's online exam.
  • A Colorado Notary commission lasts four years. Once your renewal is approved, you will be commissioned by the Colorado Secretary of State.
