18 years of age
Be a registered voter of the county within and for which the applicant is to be commissioned, or a permanent resident alien of the United States
Legally reside in the county in which the applicant seeks to be commissioned;
non-resident applicants must be employed in Missouri, use of Notary seal only
in the course of employment, have a work address in the county in which commission
is sought and authorize the Missouri Secretary of State to accept services of process
or other legal notifications on applicant's behalf
Non-residents working in the state may be commissioned
Must read, write and understand English
Not had a commission revoked during the past ten years
No felony convictions
