How can I change my state on your website?

Our website automatically detects what state is accessing our website by IP. Occasionally we get it wrong. If that happens, you can change your state in the header of our website. In the upper right hand corner, re-select a state by using the dropdown.

Some things don't look right. Why?

Our site is best viewed in Internet Explorer 10 or higher, Firefox, Chrome, or Safari. If you are using a different browser, you may have problems performing certain functions. I share my email address. Why can't we both log into our own accounts?

Since our website uses email address as the primary log in, it is very important that each individual notary/customer have their own email address per account. If you share an email address between accounts, every time this email address is used, the newest account will override any current information on the older account. Only one person can use one email address and account at a time. This is because we sell personalized items (seals, embossers) and insurance items, and those items have names and commission information printed on the documents. Each individual file needs to be for one specific notary.

I used to log in with my NNA ID number. Why do I have to use an email address now?

In order to comply with strict privacy laws, we require every individual to use a unique email address to log in. This allows us to send private correspondence and be assured that only the customer has access to that correspondence.

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

  1. Go to nationalnotary.org/my-nna.
  2. Click on the Forgot Password? link above the Password box.
  3. A new field will appear asking for your e-mail address. Enter it here.
  4. Click the Submit button only once.
  5. If red text appears above the Sign In area indicating a password has been emailed to you, check your email and proceed to step 6.
    1. If red text appears indicating the email address does not exist, check the spelling of the email address and try again. You may have registered with another email or never registered at all. If none of your email addresses exist, proceed to register as a new user on the same page and enter the website. If you cannot recall the email address that you registered with, please call Customer Service at 1-800-US-NOTARY and they can provide the email address associated with your account. We do not recommend creating a new account, as we will be unable to display your account history.
  6. A new password will be e-mailed to you from services@nationalnotary.org within a few minutes. If you do not see the email in a reasonable amount of time, check your Spam folders.
  7. Copy the password provided in the email (select the text, right click, copy), write it down, or position the email so you can reference it while you are logging in. Be careful that you do not have any extra characters copied, as they appear as blank spaces and will cause your password to be rejected.
  8. Go back to nationalnotary.org/my-nna and enter your email address and the password provided to you.
  9. Click the Sign In button.

Since the password is randomized, you should change your password to something you will remember. See how to change your account password below.
