Your Utah Notary Surety Bond

Utah law requires all Notaries to purchase and maintain a $5,000 Notary surety bond for the duration of their 4-year commission. The cost of a Utah Notary bond is $40, and protects the general public of Utah against any financial loss due to improper conduct by a Utah Notary. The bond is NOT insurance protection for Utah Notaries.

NOTE: If you intend to become a remote Notary in Utah and have an existing bond with the NNA, please call Customer Care at 1-800-876-6827 to upgrade your bond.

Do I need anything besides my bond?

You can purchase your Utah Notary bond on its own or as part of Utah Notary package. To purchase a package that includes your state-required Notary bond and official Notary seal stamp, NNA Notary Hotline support and everything you need to properly perform your duties, see our New Utah Notary or Renewing Utah Notary packages.
