To say thank you for the service of our military personnel, the National Notary Association will be offering complimentary Notary training for veterans on Monday, June 6 at NNA 2016 in Anaheim, California.
The complimentary Notary training — fully funded by the National Notary Foundation (NNF) — provides honorably discharged veterans with the state-mandated education course to apply for a California Notary commission and help open new career opportunities as they transition to civilian life.
The training is open to honorably discharged California veterans who do not currently hold a Notary commission, and will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Orange County. Seating is limited to 30, so veterans are encouraged to register early. Registrants should bring the following identification the day of the event:
- A valid Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty (DD-214) required to prove veteran status
- A current state-approved identification card, passport or U.S. Military I.D. Card (paper extensions cannot be accepted)
Veterans will also have the additional option of taking the state Notary exam onsite by paying a $40 fee.
Questions can be emailed to our customer service team at Veterans@NationalNotary.org.
