The NNA Honors Chrissey Ladd as 2011 Notary of the Year

Los Angeles, California - March 08, 2011

LOS ANGELES, March 8, 2011 — The National Notary Association, the largest organization serving the nation’s 4.8 million Notaries, has named Chrissey Ladd of Haddon Township, New Jersey as its 2011 Notary of the Year for her exceptional efforts to educate and improve standards for Notaries Public in her state.

As a Notary Public and banking professional for more than 13 years, Ladd created a comprehensive ethical notarization policy for her bank and worked tirelessly to help New Jersey Assemblywoman Joan Voss and Senator Nicholas Scutari draft bills to strengthen Notary practices and training. She also volunteers her time to mentor Notaries throughout the state, publishes an electronic Notary educational newsletter, and serves as a volunteer with organizations assisting women in transition.

“Chrissey’s achievements stand as an inspiring model for Notaries everywhere,” said National Notary Association Chief Executive Officer Marc Reiser. “We also applaud her for her service to her bank and the community, which goes beyond performing and inspiring exemplary notarial acts and working for up-to-date Notary statutes.”

The formal award presentation will take place at the NNA’s 33rd Annual Conference, held May 22-26, 2011 at the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. This national award is given annually to the Notary Public whose highly dedicated, exemplary and ethical service to the community have made outstanding contributions to the Notary office. Each year, the NNA chooses from a pool of nominees who best exemplify the ideals of integrity, impartiality, competence, selflessness and public service in the critical role of protecting document signers from ID theft and document fraud.
