New Chief Executive Officer Marc A. Reiser To Lead Transformation At The National Notary Association

Los Angeles, California - January 12, 2011

LOS ANGELES – Marc A. Reiser, a veteran executive with a strong marketing and technology background and an impressive record of driving growth in member-targeted disciplines, has been named Chief Executive Officer of the National Notary Association, whose constituency includes 4.8 million of the country’s Notaries. NNA President Milt Valera announced the new appointment.

“Marc’s strong business sense and purpose, combined with his expertise in organizational management and systems, will be important drivers to improve the NNA’s membership growth and educational programs, especially in the country’s present troubled economy,” Valera said. “He is committed to the strengthening the Association’s position as the dominant service and educational provider for all Notaries as well as the country’s business, law and government sectors.”

Reiser was the stand-out candidate in an aggressive executive search that began early in the year, and his appointment coincides with the NNA’s ambitious transformational objectives. He will also serve on the Executive Committee.

Reiser’s talents and leadership have contributed to double-digit profit growth at two multimillion dollar global corporations in New York — Planet Payment and Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation. He is a focused bottom-line marketer with expertise in product management and new product launches, combining shrewd marketing strategies with 21st century technology.

Among his notable accomplishments: Marc implemented a re-branding initiative at Planet Payment, including a revamped Web site and marketing strategy that increased traffic and improved lead generation efforts. At DTCC, he launched a new business unit, building it to a multimillion dollar annual business, and developed new marketing strategies that he applied across multiple business units, resulting in significant growth.

“I am excited about the opportunities the National Notary Association holds in serving our nation’s Notaries,” Marc said. “I look forward to working with the team to continue to grow our position as the thought leader and trusted adviser in our area of expertise.”

He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and later received a Masters of Business Administration from the Stern School of Business at New York University, where he was a dual major in Finance and Information Systems.
