Application and Bond Filing Procedures |
| Call the NNA at 1-800-US NOTARY (1-800-876-6827) if you have any questions during this process. Click here for detailed instructions for NEW or RENEWAL Notary commission. - Order your Complete Notary Supply Package (see "Become" and "Renew" links above) – which includes your State-required Notary Bond* and your State application fees.
- Complete three hours of State-Required training from the NNA.
- Submit your Notary Public and Bond Applications - enclosing a COPY of your Certificate of Training - to the NNA for processing.
- We will activate your Notary Bond and file it with the State.

Name Change Procedures |
| Any notary public who lawfully changes his/her name during the term of the commission must request an amended commission within 60 days after such change. Please open and print the Amended Commission Instruction/Order form and Amended Commission Request Notice of Name Change form by clicking the link below. Please follow the instructions on the form to complete this state requirement for a lawful name change.
