| Other Requirements: |
All applicants, both new and renewing, must provide fingerprints for background screening by both the California Department of Justice and the FBI. Fingerprints must be submitted by a LiveScan agency for a processing fee of $84 and an additional rolling fee that varies. To make an appointment and determine the total fingerprint cost, please contact LiveScan Management Group, Inc. at 1-909-262-3733. In addition, a 2” x 2” passport-style color photo must be submitted with all applications. |

Application and Bond Filing Procedures |
Call the NNA at 1-800-US NOTARY (1-800-876-6827) if you have any questions during this process.
- Order your Complete Notary Supply Package — which includes your State-required Notary Bond.*
- Pass the State-required Notary Exam.
- Submit your Notary Public Application to the State, enclosing your State application fees.
- Receive your State-issued Commission Certificate (within 4 to 6 weeks).
- Forward a COPY of your Commission Certificate to the NNA for processing.
- We will mail your activated Notary Bond to you via First Class mail.
- File your Notary Bond and Oath of Office with the County Clerk.
