- Be a legal resident of Arkansas or a legal resident of an adjoining state who is employed in Arkansas
- Be a United States citizen or a permanent resident alien
- Be able to read and write English
- Not have had a previous Notary commission revoked in the past ten years

Call the NNA at 1-800-US NOTARY (1-800-876-6827) if you have any questions during this process.- Order your Complete Notary Supply Package (see "Become" and "Renew" links above) – which includes your State-required Notary Bond.*
- Call 1-800-US NOTARY (1-800-876-6827) to confirm the details of your order.
- We will IMMEDIATELY issue your Notary Bond according to the following guidelines:
New Notaries: The effective date will be indicated as 30 days after your order date.
Renewing Notaries: The effective date will match the date of your commission renewal.
- We will mail your activated Notary Bond to you via first-class mail.
- Submit your Notary application to the County Clerk WITH your NNA Notary Bond.
