    Eligibility
    • Be at least 18 years old
    • Be an Arizona resident for tax purposes (i.e., claim an Arizona residence as a primary residence on state and federal tax forms)
    • Be a citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States
    • Not have been convicted of a felony unless civil rights have been restored
    • Not have had an Arizona Notary commission or professional license revoked within the previous four years
     

    Application and Bond Filing Procedures
    Call the NNA at 1-800-US NOTARY (1-800-876-6827) if you have any questions during this process.
    • Order your Complete Notary Supply Package (see "Become" and "Renew" links above) – which includes your State-required Notary Bond.*
    • Call 1-800-US NOTARY (1-800-876-6827) to confirm the details of your order.
    • We will IMMEDIATELY issue your Notary Bond according to the following guidelines:
      New Notaries: The effective date will be indicated as 30 days after your order date.
      Renewing Notaries: The effective date will match the date of your commission renewal.
    • We will mail your activated Notary Bond to you via First Class mail.
    • Submit your Notary application to the AZ Secretary of State WITH your NNA Notary Bond.
