    • Reside in Alabama county
    • Satisfy requirements of county probate judge who appoints Notaries
     

    Application and Bond Filing Procedures
    Call the NNA at 1-800-US NOTARY (1-800-876-6827) if you have any questions during this process.
    • Order your Complete Notary Supply Package (see "Become" and "Renew" links above) – which includes your State-required Notary Bond.*
    • Call 1-800-US NOTARY (1-800-876-6827) to confirm the details of your order.
    • Submit your Notary application to the Office of Probate Judge of your residence county.
    • Fax or mail a copy of your Letter of Appointment from the Office of Probate Judge. (If the Office of Probate Judge does not issue Letters of Appointment, please call the NNA.)
    • We will mail your activated Notary Bond to you via First Class mail.
