    Eligibility
    • Be at least 18 years old
    • Be a resident of Alaska
    • Be legally residing in the United States
    • Not have been convicted or incarcerated for a felony in the 10 years before the commission takes effect
    • Not have had a Notary commission revoked for notarial misconduct in the past 10 years
     

    Application and Bond Filing Procedures
    Call the NNA at 1-800-US NOTARY (1-800-876-6827) if you have any questions during this process.
    • Order your Complete Notary Supply Package (see "Become" and "Renew" links above) – which includes your State-required Notary Bond.*
    • Call 1-800-US NOTARY (1-800-876-6827) to confirm the details of your order.
    • We will IMMEDIATELY issue your Notary Bond according to the following guidelines:
      New Notaries: The effective date will be indicated as 30 days after your order date.
      Renewing Notaries: The effective date will match the date of your commission renewal.
    • We will mail your activated Notary Bond to you via First Class mail.
    • Submit your Notary Bond to the Office of LT. Governor. The Notary Bond also serves as your Notary application.
