Where is the 2013 Conference?

The 35th Annual National Notary Association Conference will take place June 2—5, 2013 at the Renaissance Austin Hotel in Austin, Texas.

Who attends NNA® Conferences?

Notaries Public from coast-to-coast, employers of Notaries, Notary Signing Agents, representatives of state governments, and special guests including the NNA® Notary of the Year and Keynote speakers all participate in the NNA® Annual Conference. And, with all of the sights and fun things to see and do in Austin — you may want to bring the whole family along!

What can I expect?

The NNA® Conference is "The Notary Event of the Year" and offers educational workshops to build your skills, your business and your knowledge. NNA® Conferences also provide you with new and exciting ideas for income opportunities and the world's largest arena for Notary networking.

What is different about this year's Conference? Why do I need to attend another one?

The Notary landscape is constantly changing, and with more attention placed on the office of the Notary Public today, being on top of your game has never been more important.

What is the dress code?

Business casual attire is recommended for all workshops, and for the Welcome Reception.
The Welcome Reception is generally business casual. Cocktail attire is encouraged for all men and women attending the Gala Banquet on Tuesday, June 4.

Will Notary supplies be available for purchase?

Yes. Free shipping is available for all NNA® supply purchases made at the Conference. Cash, credit cards, checks and money orders will be accepted.

Cancellations / Refunds

I need to cancel my Conference Registration; am I entitled to a refund?

  • All Refund requests must be made in writing via email to conference@nationalnotary.org. If you call to let us know you cannot attend, you will still be asked to submit a refund request in writing.
  • Full Refunds: Requests for full refunds must be received via e-mail by 5:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time on Wednesday, May 1, 2013.
  • Partial Refunds: Refund requests received after 5:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 will be processed minus a $75 late cancelation fee.
  • No refunds will be made for requests received after 5:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time on Wednesday, May 22, 2013.
  • Registration and Guest Passes purchased at the Conference are non-refundable.

I'm driving to the Conference and will need to park my car at the hotel. What are my options?

The Renaissance has complimentary on-site parking. Valet parking is also available for a fee of $17 per day.

Does the hotel provide airport shuttle service?

The hotel does not offer an airport shuttle. However, the NNA® has partnered with SuperShuttle to provide discounted rates for transportation to and from Austin-Bergstrom Airport. To receive 10% off roundtrip shuttle reservations made and paid online, click here and enter discount code NOTAR in the "Enter Group / Discount Code" box on the first page of the website. May I register onsite?

Conference Registration and Signature Event Guest Passes will be available for purchase onsite. Cash, credit cards, checks or money orders are acceptable forms of payment. Registration and Guest Passes purchased onsite at the Conference are non-refundable.

What is covered by the full Conference registration fee?

Your NNA® Conference registration includes:

  • Admission to all General Sessions
  • Admission to Conference workshops and hands-on labs
  • Your personalized registration packet, including your name badge, printed handouts and materials for all Conference workshops, along with a complimentary tote bag, Conference lapel pin, and more!
  • Admission and two complimentary drink tickets for the Welcome Reception on Sunday, June 2
  • Admission to the Gala Banquet on Tuesday, June 4
  • Continental breakfast June 3, 4, and 5
  • Coffee and morning/afternoon snack breaks June 3, 4, and 5

Travel and hotel accommodations are not included in your registration fee.

May I bring a spouse or friend?

Yes! Your guest may join you at the Welcome Reception and/or the Gala Banquet with a Signature Event Guest Pass purchase. However, purchase of the full Conference Registration is required to attend all workshops and learning labs.

When do I check-in for the Conference once I'm at the hotel?

Registration will open on Sunday, June 2 (time TBD). All Conference attendees must check in at the NNA® Conference Registration desk in the atrium of the Renaissance to receive Conference materials, including all workshop handouts, and name badge, which serves as your ID during the Conference.

Are scholarships available?

Unfortunately, scholarships to attend the NNA® Conference are not available at this time.

I didn't receive a confirmation when I registered online. May I obtain one by calling the NNA®?

Yes, if for any reason you have not received a confirmation of your registration, please call the NNA® at 1-800-US NOTARY (1-800-876-6827) and a confirmation receipt will be forwarded to you right away.

What do I need in order to check-in at Conference registration?

A valid photo I.D. is required.

What happens if I lose my Conference badge?

Badges may be replaced at the Conference registration desk once your registration has been verified.

I can't attend the entire Conference. Are you offering 1-Day Passes?

Yes. A One-Day Pass program will be available for those who cannot attend the full NNA ® Conference. Please check back here for updates on pricing and program specifics. The Day Pass will not grant access to the Welcome Reception on June 2 or Gala Banquet on June 4.

Will excursions be offered?

We are working with local vendors to provide fun offsite excursion options for Conference attendees so you can make the most out of your trip to Austin. Updates on discounts and offsite excursion opportunities will be posted here as they become available.

Is there a discounted hotel room rate for attendees?

NNA® Conference attendees receive a discounted room rate. We recommend reserving your room at the Conference hotel as soon as possible. Once Conference block rooms have sold out, the hotel cannot guarantee the Conference rate. Please note, you must book your hotel room in the NNA®'s room block to receive the discounted pricing.

How do I make my hotel reservation?

Warehouse and Sixth Street Entertainment Districts

I am bringing my family. Are there any kid-friendly activities in Austin?

The Schlitterbahn Water Park, about an hour away from the Renaissance Austin in New Braunfels, TX consistently rates as one of the top water parks in the United States!

The Austin Zoo and Animal Sanctuary features more than 300 animals across more than 100 different species. This pleasant Hill Country zoo experience located about 30 minutes from the Renaissance Austin, gives you the opportunity to see the animals close-up, spend some time outdoors getting exercise, and have fun.

What is the weather like in Austin in early June?

The temperature in June can reach the low 90s. Evening temperatures typically stay in the low to mid 70s. Summer showers are common in this part of the country, so be prepared for the possibility of rain.
