Mauritius Aims To Join International Notary Organization

MAURITIUS — Recognizing the global importance of Notaries, the Parliament in this African island nation is proposing a new code of professional notarial standards and joining the International Union of Notaries (UINL).
Rajendra Dassyne, president of the Association of Notaries in Mauritius, told local media that membership in the UINL will be a sign of quality for his nation’s Notaries and those who violate the new code of ethics would face severe sanctions.
