Just Follow These Simple Steps
- Choose your Notary Supply Package from the options below — all of which include your state-required training.
- We will promptly eMail your order confirmation, and will rush your supplies to you via First Class mail. Items such as your official bond and seal require additional documentation and will be shipped separately.
- Complete state-required training.
- Within 8-12 weeks of passing the exam and a background check, the California Secretary of State will send your Commission Certificate and Certificate of Authorization to Manufacture Notary Public seals to your mailing address. These certificates enable the NNA to issue your bond and manufacture your seal.
For Next-Day-Air or 2-Day shipping of your Notary bond, please call 1-800-US NOTARY (1-800-876-6827). - Immediately after you receive your Commission Certificate, fax the NNA a copy to 1-800-833-1211. When we receive your information, we’ll rush you your activated Notary bond via First Class mail with complete instructions on how to complete the commissioning process.
- Next, mail your original, not a copy, Certificate of Authorization to Manufacture Notary Public seals to National Notary Association, Notary Seal Processing, 9350 De Soto Avenue, Chatsworth, CA 91311. We’ll promptly send you your official seal stamp.

California Notary Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be a legal resident of California
- Not have been convicted of a felony
- Not have been convicted of a disqualifying misdemeanor (see list of disqualifying offenses on the California Secretary of State Web site) where not more than 10 years have passed since the completion of probation
