As Notaries we perform an important public service every time we complete a notarization, but our responsibility goes much further than performing an official act. We can improve life for Americans and those in need around the globe, which is why the NNA established the National Notary Foundation.

Through our benevolent and philanthropic support of the Foundation, we can help others achieve medical, scientific or humanitarian goals that may change our world. Since 1997, Notaries and their families and friends have donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to help make a difference, and they continue to make a difference today.

One hundred percent of your contributions go directly to the programs we support — on your behalf — because all of the National Notary Foundation’s operating costs are donated by the NNA. THE NATIONAL NOTARY FOUNDATION

OUR MISSION

The National Notary Foundation is dedicated to supporting programs to help students in their pursuit of educational goals, advance research to improve and enhance society, champion humanitarian and philanthropic projects, and recognize exemplary personal and professional achievements. Donor programs and gifts from Notaries, friends and corporate and non-profit benefactors provide financial support for the Foundation.

OUR PURPOSES

1. To enhance public recognition and respect for the generosity and humanitarianism of Notaries Public.
2. To encourage Notaries and others to engage in personal philanthropy and public service.
3. To endow scholarships and provide stipends and other assistance to educational institutions that value diverse thinking and expression, and exemplify fairness and objectivity in their philosophies and curricula.
4. To bestow gifts or grants to educational, cultural or philanthropic institutions in order to reward personal or professional achievements.
5. To support programs that advance study and research for medical cures and treatments throughout the world.
6. To contribute to humanitarian and charitable projects and to aid the distressed in time of need, particularly during natural disasters and human catastrophes.

The National Notary Foundation is a nonprofit corporation established exclusively for charitable and educational purposes under Internal Revenue Service Code 501(c)(3). The Foundation supports scholarship, education, research, personal achievement, and humanitarian and philanthropic projects.
