As Notaries we perform a public service every time we complete a notarization. We have a responsibility to do more than a public service, we have a responsibility to do good for the public — which is why the NNA established the philanthropic National Notary Foundation.

Through the humanitarian and philanthropic work of this foundation, Notaries can inspire commitment in others. By encouraging the scholarship of those whose medical, scientific or humanitarian research can bring about world change, we can make a difference.

The National Notary Foundation is devoted to educational and charitable programs. By promoting the academic and personal achievement of young people, we're given the chance to continue the principles of our Association for years to come. Notaries know first hand about worthwhile causes and public service, and through the humanitarian and philanthropic work of this foundation, Notaries can inspire others to follow a charitable course.

All NNA members can be particularly proud that the National Notary Foundation serves to further enhance the recognition of the Notary office by promoting programs with which all members can identify. The Foundation has endowed several scholarships and grants at colleges and universities throughout the country and continues to seek out opportunities to benefit education in the name of NNA members. In doing so, we've set out to become a beacon of education, scholarship and improvement for the Notary community.
